first_imgGARDAI are investigating a possible hit and run incident this morning in which a man died.Gardai at Ballyshannon are appealing for information following the discovery of a body of a male at Parkhill, Ballyshannon, today.A Garda spokesman said that at approximately 0040 hours the body of a male aged in his 40s was discovered on the carriageway of the N15 at Parkhill approximately 1 mile from Ballyshannon town. “A preliminary examination carried out at the scene suggests the man was struck by a passing motorist,” said the spokesman.His body remains at the scene which has been preserved pending a full technical and forensic examination.Forensic collision investigators will attend the scene later this morning and the Coroner has been notified.The road is closed to traffic and diversions are in place.
