first_imgFour Masters GAA News:Club Lotto ResultThe draw for the latest club lotto took place on Monday night in the Abbey Hotel. There was no jackpot winner of the €2,000 jackpot with the number drawn: 4, 17, 20 and 23. Four consolation prize winners of €25 drawn were Lorcan McGinley (Dunkineley), Liam McCauley (Castle Street), Eilish Kelly (Malin House), and John McGlynn (Drimark). The jackpot now goes up to €2,100 for week 6. Streets of Donegal 5k ChallengeWell done and thanks goes to everyone that organised, helped out or took part in ‘The Streets of Donegal 5k Challenge’ on Friday night. The winner on the night on the night was Michael Murphy with a time of 16:41 with Deirdre Dillion the first woman home with a time of 21:24. Summer Mini LeaguesThe Summer Mini Leagues for 4 to 8 year old’s started continues every Wednesday from 4:45pm to 5:45pm with it consisting of small sided games for the hour. New players are always welcome. Parents are asked to use the front car park outside Tir Conaill and walk in with their child.CamogieUnderage camogie training takes a break for August, starting back on Friday 4th September. The president of the camogie association, Catherine Neary visits Tir Conaill Park on Saturday 5th September. There will be a number of camogie games on the day to mark her visit. U8 Boys FootballThe SRB finals day for U8’s takes place in Ardara on Friday 28th August. Best of luck to Ronan and all the boys.U10 Boys FootballThe U10 boys football team held a home blitz last Saturday morning with Bundoran, Aodh Ruadh and St Nauls all attending. The boys had three teams on the day with all performing very well on the day. Thanks goes to Conor Breslin and Sean Meehan for refereeing on the day.  The U10 SRB finals day takes place on Saturday week in Ardara.U12 Boys Football Well done to U12 footballer Lee Murchan who played in Croke Park on Tuesday as part of the U12 fun day were one player from each club in Donegal is selected to play games and visit the GAA museum.U13 Boys FootballThe U13 league starts this Saturday (August 29th) away to Naomh Conaill at 12 noon.U16 Boys Football The U16’s play Aodh Ruadh next Tuesday night (August 25th) at 7pm. Venue for the game is yet to announced with it likely to be in Ballintra. The boys had two good games in last week against St Nauls (6-10 to 2-07 win) and MacCumhaill (2-12 to 2-12 draw). Training continues on Thursday and Monday at 6pm each night.Senior Men’s FootballBoth teams lost out to St Michael’s at the weekend in the senior football championship. The reserves lost on a scoreline of 2-03 to 1-14 with the senior team going down 2-05 to 3-12.  The senior championship continues this weekend at home to Cloughaneeley. The day and times have of the games have yet to be announced.Donegal GAAHard luck to Kate Keaney and the Donegal Ladies who narrowly lost out to Armagh in the All Ireland quarter final on Saturday. The ladies had a great year with promotion and an Ulster title to show for their efforts. Well done goes to Aaron McCrea who played corner back for the Donegal U17’s in the McGuigan Cup win on Saturday. They defeated Tyrone in the semi final before a good win over Monaghan in the final.2015 Training Pitch Development DrawTickets for the 2015 Training Pitch Development Draw are out now from all senior club members. There a number of excellent prizes including All Ireland Final tickets, shopping vouchers,  and an overnight stay. Tickets cost €5 for a single ticket or €20 for 5. All monies raised from this fundraiser go towards paying for the new training pitch in Tir Conaill which is used by all 24 club teams.Virtual Sod FundraiserThe virtual sod fundraiser is ongoing in the club with lots of members signing up so far. The cost of the virtual sod is €20 with all people signed up receiving a certificate and their name going on a large wall display in Tir Conaill.
