first_imgThe CAN aims to unite existing and emerging leaders in the way that they too could form a community of practice which focuses on addressing the implementation of innovative policy and models of evidence-based practices.CAN are committed to sharing their passion in providing quality education, relief and other services and learning how to do it better as they interact regularly.Members of CAN will also be supported to develop their leadership skills and knowledge through structured programs that include peer mentoring, leadership training and experiential learning through the participation of real workplace projects, etc.Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A locally-based none governmental organization (NGO) working in the country, Change Agent Network (CAN) over the weekend donated several bags of the 25kg rice and other non-food items to some residents of Lower Johnsonville, outside Monrovia.In his presentation remark,  CAN executive director, Eric Wowoh, told the beneficiaries that the donation was the entity’s way of identifying with residents in the CAN operational area as part of the fight against the Ebola outbreak in the country.Mr. Wowoh, told this newspaper shortly before he presented the items that his organization made the donation as it own way of caring for the needy during this time of the Ebola crisis.According to him, CAN has targeted families who are being listed as “destitute” and  could no longer afford a single meal for themselves during the time of the outbreak in the country.Through the help of donors, a container of medical supplies,  including medicines and other facilities, will soon arrive in the country to be distributed to hospitals across the country.CAN is at the same time  providing free education, safe drinking water to over five counties in the country. Since the Ebola outbreak, the entity has been providing rice and other-non food items to residents around the vicinities where it operates, such as the Lower Johnsonville belt. Under its community practice,  CAN has a vision to support a dynamic workforce which is responsive and sustainable, promoting evidence-based practice and collective wisdom, to facilitate measurable and beneficial outcomes for clients and communities.last_img
